Bose
Sumantra Bose is the youngest of three children of Krishna and Sisir Bose. He is a Professor of International and Comparative Politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Sumantra received his PhD from Columbia University, New York, in 1998. He is the author of six books.

Sumit Dutt Majumder, former Chairman, Central Board of Excise and Customs, joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1974, after his Masters in Physics from IIT Kharagpur. As Member (Central Excise) and then Chairman, CBEC, he was actively associated with the preparations for GST. He has been interacting with the trade across the country explaining the basics of GST. He presented his views to the Select Committee of Rajya Sabha on the GST Constitution Amendment Bill. On invitation, he interacted with Members of Parliament on GST. As Senior Advisor, International Tax and Investment Center, Washington, he has been addressing Asia Pacific Tax Forum and African Tax Dialogue on GST in India. The European Union (EU) appointed him for its project in India on Capacity Building in GST. He is the author of a book on customs valuation and two more books on GST.

Sunanda Krishnamurty was a college lecturer in economics in India, and a consultant with U.N. organisations in Bangkok and Geneva.  As a literary translator, Sunanda has earned a name by translating the stories and novels of Rabindranath Tagore and Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, which were published under reputed banners. She is an active member of the Geneva Writers Group and has published several short stories in its literary publication,

Sharma
Sunayan Sharma, formerly a member of the Indian Forest Service, served as Wildlife Warden at Jodhpur, Rajasthan, during 1986-88. He served Keoladeo National Park, Bharatpur during 1988-91 as Research Officer and again during 2006-08 as its Director. During his second tenure, he developed an innovative scheme to remove the deadly Prosopis julifora from the Park. He also developed schemes to divert water from Chiksana canal and Govardhan drain to the Park which proved to be landmark schemes saving the Keoladeo National Park from being delisted by UNESCO as a world heritage site. During 1991-96, Mr Sharma served as Field Director, Sariska Tiger Reserve. He served Sariska again during 2008-10. His initiative resulted in closure of several marble mines inside the Reserve. He also oversaw the reintroduction of tigers into Sariska after they were decimated by poachers. This was the first such experiment in the world. He also innovated and implemented several protection strategies for the safety of animals in the Tiger Reserve. Sunayan Sharma is now the President of Sariska Tiger Foundation.

Late Sunil Gangopadhyay was one of the most illustrious literary figures in the world of Bengali literature. A critically acclaimed poet, best-selling novelist, and writer, he penned eighteen novels, numerous collections of poems, children's books, short stories, and essays. Many of his novels have been translated into English, and some have been adapted into cinematic works. He was the founder editor of Krittibas, a groundbreaking Bengali poetry journal, and the joint editor of the reputed Bengali literary magazine, Desh. Sunil Gangopadhyay attended several international literary conferences and received numerous prestigious awards, including Ananda Puraskar (1972 and 1989), Sahitya Akademi Award (1985), and Saraswati Samman (2005). He had been elected president of the Sahitya Akademi and was a visiting professor at Visva-Bharati University.

Supriya Roy has dedicated three decades to working in Rabindra-Bhavana, the Tagore Archives, and the Research Centre of Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, serving as a librarian and archivist. She has been the series editor for the Tagore Travelogues at Visva-Bharati and has edited various works, including "Letters from a Sojourner in Europe," "Journey to Persia and Iraq," "Letters from Java: Rabindranath Tagore's Tour of Southeast Asia," "Talks in Japan," "A Home in Urbana," and "The Diaries of Rathindranath Tagore." In 2011, she curated an exhibition on Rabindranath in Kuala Lumpur. She has also contributed to Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) exhibitions that have traveled worldwide, such as "Rabindranath Tagore and the Romance of Travel," "Pilgrimages to the East," and "An Encounter with Japan."

Suraj 'Eskay' Sriram currently resides in India, and his editorial cartoons are published every week in Banker & Tradesman, a leading business newspaper in Boston. He is the author of "Indira Gandhi: The Final Chapter" and "Excuse Me, Can We Have Our Country Back?". Previously, he worked as a freelance editorial cartoonist for the Sunday Express and Blitz. In 1985, he went to the USA, where he worked as a freelance cartoonist and taught at the Rhode Island School of Design. He is a member of the National Cartoonists Society of America and has received awards from the New England Press Association.

Sushanta Dattagupta, ex-Vice-Chancellor of Visva- Bharati, is a physicist, known internationally for his research in areas of Diffusion, Magnetism, Relaxation and Dissipation, on which he has written more than 150 papers and four authoritative books. He has also published a book in Bengali, Je Path Diye, on his experience in Visva-Bharati. Dattagupta has been an institution builder and served as the Dean of Physical Sciences, J.N.U; Director of S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences; and Founder Director of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (Kolkata). He is a Fellow (and has been Vice President) of all major Indian Science Academies and the World Academy of Science, Trieste. His other recognitions include Young Scientist and C.V. Raman medals of Indian National Science Academy, Meghnad Saha Lecture of National Academy of Sciences, C.V. Raman Birth Centenary Award of Science Congress and ‘Sera Bangali’ award from Ananda Bazar.

She has also translated several works of fiction for Oxford University Press. Susheela Punitha received the Sahitya Akademi Translation Award for English in 2015 for her translation of U R Ananthamurthy's novel "Bharathipura."

Sushma K. Bahl, MBE, is the author of 5000 Years of Indian Art and former head of Arts & Cultur for the British Council India. She is also an independent arts adviser, writer and curator and organizes festivals and cultural projects internationally. Sushma was involved with the Triennale-India (guest director), Bharat Rang Mahotsav (project consultant), Asian Art Biennale-Bangladesh (jury member) and ASEAN-India artists’ residency & exhibition (curator). The art exhibition Ways of Seeing she curated won the IHC Art India Award.

Sushobhan Adhikary, artist, art historian and art-restorer, is at present curator of the Kala-Bhavana Museum at Visva-Bharati. He has spent long years in Rabindra-Bhavana as conservator of Rabindranath’s paintings. Sushobhan has been writing extensively on Indian art and on the art of Rabindranath in particular since 1983. His book, Ronger Rabindranath (Tagore of Colours), authored jointly with K.K. Dyson, was awarded the Ananda Puraskar in 1997. Along with Supriya Roy, he has organised the gallery on Rabindranath in Mauritius and, in 2000, they jointly curated an exhibition of paintings by Rabindranath at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai.

Swatantra Sarjano, as a youngster, displayed a general avidity for learning. After hearing much about Bhagwan from friends, he felt compelled to meet him. He left for India, took sannyas in 1978, and worked at Osho's ashram as a photographer. Swatantra Sarjano also translated Osho's discourses into Italian and became famous for his cooking skills. Currently, he resides in Rome, Italy.

Swapna Dutta has been writing for several decades, mostly for children, and has more than 50 titles to her credit, including translations. The recipient of several awards, including a National one for translation, she has been published by Hachette, Harper Collins, Scholastic, Orient Longman and Sahitya Akademi, among others, and continues to contribute to newspapers and magazines and websites both here and abroad. She has also worked as Editorial Consultant for Living Media, Asst. Editor for Limca Book of Records and Deputy Editor for Encyclopedia Britannica between 1988 and 2002. She lives in Bangalore.

Syed Badrul Ahsan is the Executive Editor, The Daily Star, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Born in 1954, he studied English literature at Dhaka University and began his career teaching English in various schools and colleges in Dhaka. He joined The New Nation newspaper as assistant editor in 1983 and has subsequently worked for The Morning Sun, The Bangladesh Observer, The Independent, The News Today and New Age. Ahsan has been minister (press) at the Bangladesh High Commission, London, and a speechwriter for Sheikh Hasina.
